Junkyard Jeeps #wootton 1

We started our walk at the village hall just opposite the village pub. It wasn’t gated and we couldn’t see any signs stating that we weren’t allowed to park there so we gave it a go. From here, we headed back to the main road and turned right. We continued past a local shop which often displays interesting political headline views on their blackboard. Just before the pillar box, we turned right onto a cul-de-sac where a footpath begins beyond a wooded gate. This footpath took us into a field and through on overgrown cornfield with some abandoned antique vehicles piled up in the corner. We continued south to reach the River Alne, where allowed us to cross it and continue across another field to reach the back of a new housing development. Turning left, we followed a single-track road for a few yards then turned right onto a signposted footpath along a private drive to reach the canal.
