Everyone has to start somewhere. It's always interesting to hear how people get into things and what influences their decision. It might have been passed down to them or they could have jumped in at the deep end and conducted their own research, learning through trial and error. Or they may have been lucky enough to start at the bottom and learn through someone else’s experience while encountering come hard along the way. But if people are willing to help you out and keep you on track, then nothing’s stopping you. You've got to get a reputation by getting others to back you. And to do that you've got to showcase some skills. You'll have to think about the positives and negatives of everything you do. But the important thing is that you are seen to be doing something, even if it's a tricky decision that you have to stand by.
