Who knows what these people who commandeer these vehicles
are like? Most are friendly enough to give us a way, though they do see us like
boats passing in the day as they continue their normal journey of life. Some
will give the odd passing comment in jest while others are more serious about getting
to their destination. And then there’s those who make the journey richer as we
share in their special moment, though not everyone likes to do this. It’s a way
of life for this boater since she’s got her own satellite dish installed for her
TV and internet, and she’s quite confident in steering the boat without any
help required from other crew members. She could be ferrying some goods down
the canal after visiting the shops and it’s her only means of transport. She probably
knows the landmarks well but not necessarily everyone that shares it.
