You’d like to think of it as the local raffle. You don’t expect to win anything but you’re contributing to the local economy. But this thing’s on a bigger scale. It’s the ultimate get out of free card. You’re probably already fantasising about how you’ll quit your job; watch your boss’s jaw drop and walk out to begin your dream spending spree, whatever that might be. But it’s all about the odds. You might get a small win while helping local causes regardless of your opinion of them. But there’s nothing to say that you won’t win the big one, but at the same time the odds are against you. There’s a lot of people out there who say that it’s all a big risk and that you’re better off staying away from it altogether rather than throwing your money down the drain. But you also run the risk of losing out.
