Onwards?

There was a footpath through the fields, but it wasn’t particularly glamourous and it only led to the main road and we’d have to follow it back to the village to get back to our starting point. It would be the long way round. Instead, we headed to the fishing ponds where there were a few vehicles scattered around. We were tempted to do a circuit around the ponds but there were private property signs dotted about and there quite a few fishermen exhibiting their territory. We moved down one side of the road to see if there was anything interesting and we were beginning to get the stare. The only thing we could do was walk back the way we came, but when we got back to the castle it was easier to follow the road back. We were treated to some nice refreshments afterwards in my uncle’s garden with a bit of cake.
