We headed north through the woods which bought us to a
boundary with some fields. We could see the newly developed parts of the castle
in the distance which had our surroundings in their sights. The footpath
followed through the edge of their site to the road. We passed an outside
decking bar lounge and their rifle range before reaching the main road to the
castle. We wondered down the road to the main gate where a security guard came
out to watch us. Oddly, he didn’t seem too concerned when we were an arm’s
length from the patio. We carried across onto the opposite footpath and
followed a brick wall which was opposite a garden centre followed by a lone country
cottage. From here we entered a wood and inside was a series of fences to
divide us from private land. On the other side was a series of open fields and
fishing ponds.
