We’re on a mission. We’ve taken the girls out for a round of
crazy golf at the shopping centre in the big town. We’ve been out for brunch
but now we’ve got to get them back home in time for a dance rehearsal. We
return to the train station to find out that there’s a tree on the line and
that all services back home have been cancelled. We keep the girls calm by
buying some overpriced pick-and-mix while trying to convince them not to go too
mad on what they pick. We end up putting half of their choices back. I then managed
to work out that we could catch a bus in the general direction of home and ring
for help when we’ve got as close as we could. As the bus was a double decker,
the youngest one got very excited and declared it was the best day out ever
when we reached the station.
