Howzat?

There’s a toy giveaway and Mario sans moustache certainly attracts the crowds, especially when he acts up to receive freebies and they persuade him to catch one in his cap. It turns out to be the usual Kinder Egg plastic rubbish, only it’s slightly bigger and it’s in a square plastic box with cardboard packaging. I’m introduced to my friend’s friend and we go and check out some model toys and we continue our tour of the convention. I take a shine to the Steampunk corner. I’ve never heard of it before. It’s based on someone’s novel and it’s all based in the Victorian era but everything runs on steam no matter how futuristic it is. People wear waistcoats and goggles combined with top hats which are presumably used when they operate their machinery. Wood is used instead of plastic while metal is still the dominant material and women wear corsets because of all the steam.
