Work Deboxed

It’s annoying when you’re trying to get things done when you know that the person who’s responsible for the process before you hasn’t played their part. It might be a broken item that’s been allowed to slip through or a manufacturing process that hasn’t been completed; or even an item that’s gone missing in transit. The trouble is that because you’re so near the product’s end journey is that you’re the link between the customer and the item. This means that you end up chasing manufacturers and despatch centres to correct their error, all the while trying to explain to your customers how the fault occurred and what you are doing to rectify it. In the meantime, you’ve got to find a solution to please the customer who magically expects their item to be there in perfect condition. And it’s not always possible to get a fast resolution, if one at all.
