Do Blind People Turn on Lights in their House?

Your first thought would be that it would be a waste of money. You might have no idea as to how long you’ve left your lights on for. It’s kind of like outdoor Christmas lights as you’re not unlikely to spend hours sitting outside the house watching them. But it also makes you wonder how many blind people live on their own. It’d be nice to think that these people would have someone to look after them or keep an eye out for them by living in the same house. Some might find the warmth of the light comforting; especially if they were only partially blind and may be able to see something. Also, it would be common sense for a blind person to turn a light on if they were going out for the evening just as if any other person would, to give the impression to potential intruders that someone was home. They might even do this regardless, just so they wouldn’t get the bother of potential intruders coming up the driveway.
