Imagine all the fun you could have here. A tree, long since
died, has one strong branch reaching out over the river, which isn’t that full
enough to be dangerous. You could add a swing or reach down and touch the water
with the tips of your fingers. If it wasn’t for the weaker twisty bits at the
end, you could attempt to run off the branch and jump onto the opposite bank. But
how did the tree get uprooted in the first place? Was there a flash of
lightning or was man involved, either through foul play or just a decision to
make it safer? And what thought made them think that it would be fun to leave
it like that? Is it to offer a pose or seat while on a walk? Or is it a hazard
that hasn’t been deemed dangerous enough so that it doesn’t require any action
yet? Maybe it’s a home to something beneath it.
