Those Malvern Hills again

You’ve now got a choice to make. You can stay low by the canal and be sheltered by the banks of the reservoir, or climb the steps to enjoy its view. Either way, as the lake pulls away from the canal, you’ll need to follow the incline and leave the canal behind you. It’s a shame that you can’t complete a full circuit around the lake as it’s reserved for private use. Instead, follow the lake south until you reach a gap in the field, you should then be able to turn left and slowly climb the hill to gain a lovely view of the Malvern Hills in the distance. You can see them everywhere from here, all you need is a little bit of height. At its summit, the track will reach a gate which joins onto London Lane. Here, you need to squeeze through the gap (the farmer may have left the gate unlocked) and turn left onto High House Lane.
