We arrived just as the lunchtime rush was ending. We’d been before so had an idea of what to expect but we were armed with a voucher. The rush seemed to be ending, and we were placed in a corner where we felt a little isolated. It was a shame that the bar was experiencing a gas shortage. Rather than ordering a true pub beer on draught, we had to choose from a drinks menu but not all the drinks were priced. Spending over £5 on a bottle of cider seems a little extreme, even though the fresh fruit and ice in the glass were a nice touch. The meals were very well presented. I felt that the server needed a little more spark or oomph, she seemed to be functional but was unwilling to enter into a conversation. When it came to dessert, speed of service seemed to be a problem despite the few people that were around, and we had to chase it.
