I picked up this free book while on a visit to a Sikh
temple. I thought this book would guide me to a more spiritual path. I wasn’t
sure if I was supposed to donate anything. Perhaps that’s why it hasn’t led me
on a path of wisdom and enlightenment. It starts off with a very scientific
opening. But after discussing free will and meditation, it moves onto thoughts.
Although it doesn’t give strong specific instructions telling me to convert
from my present ways, it does emphasise the power of rest, thought and
reflection. It’s a bit disconcerting to learn that Khoji believes that people detach
themselves through their children even though it describes the duties that a
parent undertakes. Everyone has their own self-interests but I believe that we
need to work together rather than trust in a higher power. I don’t think I’ll
be seeking out any of his other books, but if I do come across them then I
might take a look if they’re still free.
