It’s the oldies section of the park. It’s an area that they
haven’t got to move far from the entrance yet it’s sheltered away from the rest
of the hustle and bustle. The hedges are strategically placed to be in both the
sun and the shade, and they’re placed at different angles for different times
of the day. And it’s sociable so there’s a chance of meeting similar people
there too to pick flowers, plant seeds, or trim the edge, though the council
probably works quite hard to keep it all maintained or pays a subsidy to the
local Rotary Club who have their community house just behind it. The path is
well worn as if a few laps have been taken, and probably needs to be re-laid
every season. Only toddlers are excused from stepping on the grass, and even
they might be subject to a telling-off. I wonder if they plant different plants
across the seasons.
