The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman

The Impossible Fortune (Thursday Murder Club, #5)The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s great to see the old gang back again. There were certain moments that stood out that made me thumb through for a second reading trying to find them. I felt quite sad for Kendrick’s ordeal. I was astonished that once the mystery was solved, no-one seemed to be arrested and everyone parted as the best of friends. I had to re-read the motives and it seemed that the gang took justice into their own hands for this one and used their superiority over the law (apart from the Ritchie plot line). Perhaps they didn’t want to get Joyce into trouble with her brownies. I love her insight as she addresses many issues that the elderly face, though it’s clear that this lot do have a bit of cash to spend which makes them appear snobbish and elitist at times. I look forward to the next adventure. Perhaps Kendrick and Tia will open their own detective agency.
