It sounds like the destination for a glamorous elite TV
show. I haven’t met the people but they’ve probably got flash cars as they’re
living on the edge of the city. It’d be nice to think that the hills were
formed naturally and that the wood’s been there for thousands of years. But the
car park’s owned by the council and there’s major roads and a motorway nearby
so it’s probably more likely to be reformed land from digging out the valleys
for the roads. It’s quite a climb up narrow roads to get to them, but you
eventually reach a corner past a long hedgerow where a gated entrance brings
you out onto a lined car park. There’s also a small café with a visitor’s
centre and a children’s playground at the end. There’s also a fee to pay for
parking which is by the hour or for the day.
