The Play Barn

Garden centres will do anything to get that extra footfall nowadays. So much so that they’ve actually created a clientele that’ll quite happily walk through the whole building to get to the feature that they require. But the owners will happy if someone will part with their cash somewhere on the premises. In this case, an old barn has been converted into a soft play area. There’s even a café a coffee shop which has been separated into both adult and child sections to focus on the play area. Adults sit on low tables mounted on painted red mushrooms with white spots while their child runs amok in the play area opposite. A button operated safety gate stops the child from disappearing into the outside world. You can spend a day here having any meal you want so long as the barn’s willing to stay open. There’s even a separate small area for smaller children.
