After discovering that yesterday we were in the wrong deer
park, we set out to discover the right one. We enter through the north gates
which has an active and busy road with cars and cyclists. Not knowing what to
look out for, we rely on Google maps for our location and landmarks to visit.
We decided to follow a footpath north-east which was a fairly used chip path.
Upon reaching a small lake, we decided to bear east into a wood to see if we
could spot any deer followed by a visit to Holly Lodge which was closed. All we
could see were acres and acres of green fields with the occasional clumps of
trees clustered together and people making tracks on their chosen method of
transport. We headed east, not really sure what we were looking for, until we
stumbled towards a cluster of trees near a brook. There were thousands of them.
