What constitutes an attempt? What would be acceptable? It
varies from person to person and how important the result is to the observer. You
wouldn’t necessarily care about the quality of how clean the kitchen of a
supermarket restaurant is compared to someone cleaning your own kitchen. It also
depends on what you know about the existing skill level of the competitor. If
you know them well enough, then you know how good their efforts can be when
they try. But if you don’t, you can only compare them to their peers and their
age level. You might believe that they can do it, but you may be disappointed
by the results once they have established that they have completed the task. It’s
just lucky here that we’re talking about Duplo rather than commissioning someone
to build a house, but it’s a big gamble to take when it’s not a childplay
situation.
