We were a bit far from the main part of the town but there
were still some decent amenities nearby. There were a cluster of restaurants on
the main street, and we were also on a coastal path that ran down the island
all the way into the main harbour. Not far away was a large supermarket but we decided
that the convenience of a local shop outweighed the cost of a further journey
out. There were some archaeological ruins nearby to check out as well as a
castle to explore. There were also some bars in the main town but getting the
kids down there was a problem so we only risked it the once. The good news was
that our apartment complex offered some evening entertainment in the bar so
that we could go out to eat then return for the entertainment and the room wasn’t
too far away if the kids got tired.
