The Night Bus

Our plan for the evening was to take a night tour which was included in our ticket. On this tour, we’d head downtown on a double-decker bus, cross the Brooklyn Bridge and have a quick tour of Brooklyn as well. After queuing for half an hour amongst foreigners not grasping the idea that this was a non-stop bus; we set off at an astonishing speed for a tour bus. We could certainly feel the wind in our hair and it felt more like a roller coaster; and we had to be quick to snap the sights that we wanted. There was also an audio tour, but it took a while for it to be up and running. The driver also decided to do a little backstreet tour and take us along cobbled streets which was an area showcasing some of the city’s finest shops. The tour concluded outside a giant M&M store which we wandered around but couldn’t much grasp the overpriced point of it.
