Today we’ve ventured into a village called Stackpole on the
Pembrokeshire coast. We got the idea from an article in a women’s magazine, and
the plan is to walk along the clifftops on the coastal path to reach the lily
ponds then take lunch at a nearby pub. We can then get the bus back to the car,
or walk back the way we came and stop off for a dip in the sea. It’s a sunny
day and the coast is stunning. Other than a local coasteering group, there’s
very few people around. There’s plenty of rest spots with views, woods with
shade, and hills with vantage points. There’s also lots of boardwalks and
tracks. The swans were busy looking for food in the lily ponds. It’s when we’re
halfway through the walk I realise that I’ve been here before in someone else’s
car. We managed an eleven-mile round trip.
