This is set in an idyllic spot by the river. The bridge is
built at a stretch, and it’s only to accommodate the road. There’s a fair bit
of land next to the pub which creates an ideal beer garden as well as a small car
park. The pub inside is comfortable and has tables in the entrance and bar side
seating. There’s wooden beams with comfortable alcoves and seating. There’s
also the option to dine al fresco which keeps a lot of the servers on their
toes, but they’re still friendly and are happy to stop for a quick chat. The food
is interesting and the small menu varies according to the season to keep it
fresh. The beer is what you’d expect for the area, but it’s in good condition.
They’re probably not shifting enough pints to accommodate a guest ale. Hopefully
there’s a summer event that they can organise to create some interest.
