"Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations."

-Steve Jobs.

Every idea has a downside. It depends on the situation and the context that it's used. But no-one likes making mistakes. They’re innocent little things that you might have forgotten about or not considered in your design. But at least when you own up to them, you can try to start working on a solution rather than waste time playing the blame game. And if you own up sooner rather than later, others will be more willing to come forward and try to help you find the solution. It's important that you learn from your mistakes so that they won't occur in your future projects. Let’s hope that it doesn't happen too often, especially if you're doing something important like designing a phone. You might be able to get away with it without anyone noticing or slip back in to fix it at a later point. Hopefully it'll become a blooper at the Christmas party.
