"Your smile will give a positive countenance that will make people feel comfortable around you."

-Les Brown.

Even if you don’t want to smile and end up putting on a fake grin like a maniac, people will be more willing to approach you. They’ll be inclined to smile back and trust you, and you’ll feel that things will go easier as well. It’s infectious, and it’s an essential skill of customer service. You have to do it even if you feel like something’s going to be long and complicated and they’re going to straight up miserable at you. You might be able to reverse their thinking by giving them a positive experience, so long as you can react with sympathy to any bad news that they care to impart. Be careful if you’ve got bad breath or wonky teeth though, unless you want to scare them away. Sometimes it’s the eye contact that has it. And sometimes you just want them to leave you alone and approach someone else.

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough."

What if you don’t? Will you want to start again. Will you be dealt a better hand? And how will you know if things are going better next time? It’s very hard to remember what you did in your previous life. Perhaps that’s what feelings of déjà vu are all about. If you feel that you’ve done everything right, would you want to go round and experience it again? Some people would, if only to cherish the times that they’ve reminisced upon. But they wouldn’t know they’d be reminiscing upon them as they relived them. It’s all very confusing. Some people argue that they do live more than once, especially if they’re trying to evade the law and have successfully faked their death. But how you do know if you’ve done everything right? Surely everyone’s said or done something that they regret and wish that they could take back. Maybe that’s why we go again every time.

"Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever."

Not all pain is temporary. Many will agree with this, particularly those who have been in a serious accident. You might be able to forget about it sometimes, but it still comes back. It might be a long type of temporary that gets numbed with medication. You might need some help to get rid of it, but if you’re an independent type, you might choose to stick it out. But there’s a way forward with everything, though it might not be a path that you like. If you give up on something, it’s a definitive moment. But something or someone may persuade you to return to the role later. You might have been too hasty. There are some things that can be undone, providing that others are willing to cooperate. But you’ve got your morals to follow. It’s up to you. It might benefit just yourself, or it might benefit everyone. You’ve got a decision to make.

"Be selective in your battles. Sometimes peace is better than being right."

It’s not a great mantra  to go by. Conceding defeat doesn’t look good for your organisation when you give up. But sometimes you have to recognise that continuing your line of disruption may have greater consequences than desired if resisted, and you’d rather keep things the way they were. It’s difficult to know how to choose. Sometimes the enemy will make a threat if you pursue your action that you may not have planned for. If the threat is carried out every time you make your proposal, eventually you can plan to counteract it. At other times, your threat is good enough to create action from other parties to create peace. Sometimes you’ll be asked to join a battle rather than lead one, but you need to think carefully about how this will affect your life as well as the lives of others. You have to time it right. Choose wisely.

“I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, you'll see God open up new doors.”

 -Joel Osteen.

It sounds like a lot to do, but it’s actually quite simple advice to follow. If you’re literally seeing a man in a white beard opening up doors for you, you’ve got some true power. You can’t rely on everyone all of the time though. Sometimes you have to muck in and do your fair share, even if it seems that you’ve got to do more of it. But if you doubt it for one second, then the whole deal’s off. Sometimes it can be hard, but you just have to persist. Sometimes the right attitude turns you into a self-righteous maniac as you should be reacting to different things and try to change them rather than just blindly accepting them. It would also look a bit odd if you’re grateful for everything. You might always try and see the positive side, but others will disagree with you. You should never follow blindly.

"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light."

-Aristotle Onassis.

I’ve been sitting in the dark for too long getting distracted. I’m not focusing. Instead I’m avoiding things. I don’t want to give up, but it’s easier not to do nothing. But nothing happens and I don’t go anywhere or do anything new. I’ve got to try. With a little bit of effort, things become easier. And if others can see you trying, they’ll pitch in too. You need to be very careful of how you manage your time, as it might not always be yours to waste. You need to be doing something, even if it’s the wrong thing, to demonstrate how important things are to you. You need to keep going. You might need to rest occasionally. At other times, you need to go all out otherwise you’ll feel that you’re sinking into a hole and you’ll never achieve your objectives. You must find a way to fight.

“We all have self-doubt. You don’t deny it, but you also don’t capitulate to it. You embrace it.”

-Tim S. Grover.

It’s one of those things that we  can’t get rid of but don’t want to give in to. It’s that little voice thar wants us to stop and do something else as the task is too hard. There’s a possibility that we might not get our way, but if we accept it straight away then we know that we’ve lost and we lose our ability to fight. You have to accept that it’s a possibility, but you also have to fight to change the outcome. There’s a possibility that you can win, but you have to invest in effort to make it happen. You cannot give in and need to believe that you can do the task. There may be many factors against you, but the earlier you tackle them, the easier the task becomes. But you can’t allow fear to get the best of you, otherwise you’ll never achieve anything.

“Whoever loves much, performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”

-Vincent Van Gough.

It’s ironic that these lovely words came from a man who was well known for his depressive spells and his eccentric gifts to his suitresses. He might have loved much, and his advances might have inspired him to his art, but it didn’t help him succeed until retroflection. But it’s the fact that he loved that counts, regardless of whether or not he was loved back. The perspective of tense is also lost a little towards the end of the quote. In a way, you can hear the pain in his voice. It’s almost as if he’s sitting in the bar and he’s sparking up a conversation after a few shots. He’s realising what he’s saying, and he’s trying to argue it as himself, but takes note of where he’s failed. And of course, a performance can be a number of things.  I’m assuming that the quote was taken from his letters to his family, but I like my version better.

"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow."

-Helen Keller.

You could be blinded by sunlight. Your face might feel a bit warm. You’ll see a lot of yellow as you bask in the light. Most people will turn their cheek as they’ll want to feel the warmth. You might appear luminous to others and inspire them. Help will come to you. People want to see you progress. Probably because you’re standing in their way, blocking something. But you can’t be there forever. Unless you live in a greenhouse on a planet where days last for ages. Or you might not be able to see anything at all. You could be permanently blinded. It’s a good job that clouds and rainy days exist to block your way. It’s not great advice, especially as it’s coming from someone who’s already blind. It could be a conspiracy so that she can gain some ground. But I think the author is trying to persuade everyone to think positively.

"I've Got a Dream that's worth more than my Sleep"

 -unknown.

The question is, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to put the work in to stay up all night? Sometimes you have to push hard to achieve your dreams. No matter what your body wants, you have to push yourself to a better future. You might not be good for anything the next day though, and you’ll certainly need some sleep at the end of that. Are you just cashing in financially, or is there more at stake? Will your reduced functionality affect your day? Is it simply a lack of bad planning? It does reek a bit of desperation. Or is it better to remain in the dream world as you know it’s not real and you don’t have to worry about things? And will your late nights disturb others around you who need their rest? Will they benefit from your production or will they complain about your processes?

"The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide not to stay where you are."

 -JP Morgan.

That’s probably the toughest step to do. If your plans don’t involve something in the present, then you need to leave it behind. You’ve got to get up off your arse and move. It’s about leaving behind the comfort zone that you’re used to and venturing into the unknown. You can’t do everything, and you may need to have a plan to see you through broken down into steps to help you achieve your goal. And you either need to keep at what you’re doing a little bit harder, or do something completely different. You need to switch something off or tune something out to stop you from being distracted. It is nice to have a back-up plan so that you’ve got something to go back to if it doesn’t work out. But you’ve got to take that bold step first. It’s something that I’ve been trying to do for ages.

What's their Motivation?

There’s a skill or power at stake that you need someone to utilise or stand down. If you want to convince someone to do something, you’ve got to find out why and convince them how it will benefit them. They may be pursuing a path for reasons as of yet unknown. Or if they’re doing something that you don’t want them to do, you’ve got to do the same thing. There’s a bit of detective work involved. It’s a great feature for character and plot development. People act for a reason. Is it for practice? Are they required to follow orders under a higher power for employment or have reacted to a controlled substance? Is there a love or family bond involved? Or are they just pure evil? Perhaps there’s a realisation that they’re missing. And if you can work that out and show them that your solution is better, they might just trust you.

Only in the darkness can you see the stars

-Martin Luther King Jr.

There’s an exception to this rule. You can see one star in the daylight, unless it’s covered by cloud as it’s our sun. But then again, the quote is plural. And you might not be able to spot them in cloud at night either, but you can always see them on a screen, though some would see it as cheating as you’re not looking directly at them and you’re protected from the twinkle. It’s odd because you know that they’re there in the day, and you can even see the moon sometimes. In the future you might be able to wear special viewing glasses that filters out the daylight. But for now, you have to wait until nightfall to see the stars, and hope that it’s a clear night with no light pollution, road lights, air traffic or international space stations. And that your eyes are open, unless your head is spinning.

" A strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success"

-Joyce Brothers

If you take the time to look the part, people will do their best to help you. It’s a projection of confidence and people will be able to trust you. Even if you haven’t prepared a speech, people will be willing to listen if you have a good excuse and they’ll help you out if they’re not eying up the competition or are open to a little negotiation. You may not have to show muscles, but you do need to portray strength, confidence, and the willingness to get things done, and you need to form a bond. Even if you’re late, you might be able to get away with it by a little smile to show that you genuinely respect them. If you don’t prepare, and you believe that you can’t do it, then people may not even want to take a look at you, and they’ll want to form a relationship with someone else instead.

Positivity Always Wins

-Gary Vaynerchuk.

You can do it if you think positively! It’s a nice thought that might keep you fighting, but there are some things that can’t go your way however hard you’re thinking them. Laws of physics when you’re standing on the roof of a tall building for example. But you never know if you don’t try. You need to feel that you can do it otherwise you’re not going to be able to spur yourself on. If you have a feeling of doubt, then it’s easy to give into it. You’ll also be disappointed with yourself if you don’t achieve it, and it’ll be harder to get up to the same or better standard again. What’s meant to be a sound of encouragement comes out as a war cry as a desperate attempt to convince yourself. Most people want you to succeed, providing that they’re not competing at the same time.

"Don't wait. The time will never be just right."

-Napolean Hill.

There’s the perfect moment, the most opportune moment to take advantage of something , and there’s the moment that you’ve missed and you know that you’re not going to get a better one. If you wait, you’re just being too polite. You need to make your presence known, even if you have to interrupt someone. You have to make them see that spending time with you is more beneficial. It’s hard to know when that perfect moment is, so sometimes you just have to go for it and hope for the best. The other person might think that you’re a bit rude for intruding though. You might not get what you want after all. How are you going to know? What works for one person may not work for another, not matter how far away they are. You will never have our unique moment when all the attention is on you.

"Do not cry because it is over smile because it happened."

-Dr. Seuss.

I’m guessing the AI is finally losing it over these quotes. There’s punctuation missing. Then again, it could be trying to make sense of the source; after all the man did talk in riddles. It’s probably not the best advice to hand out when discussing funerals. Maybe you can do it when it’s all over. It will help to reflect on your best memories and the time that you’ve spent with people today. People will also want to see that you are able to move on. But grinning like a maniac as soon as it over isn’t going to help. The important thing is to be yourself. You might put on a red hat and whiskers and drive away, but you could make others feel worse by making them feel that they don’t matter, or they may have concerns that your actions are inappropriate and take action to assist you.

"Make your life a masterpiece; imagine no limits on what you can be, have, or do."

-Brian Tracy.

You want to get the very vest out of life compared to everyone else. You want to make them envious of you and put your abilities on show for everyone to see. You want to be the example that inspires others. It’s a good starting point for a career. It’s sounds comforting, but it’s going to be too good to be true. There’s only so many resources, and it’s often the case that people aren’t going to fund you for these projects. You’ve just got to go and do it yourself. You need to get real and form a plan to break through those restrictions to help get you there. There might be a lot against you. We’re only human and we can only do so much. You’ll have to work out who can help you and what you need to do to gain their assistance. And you’ll also have to get rid of the barriers.

"Happiness is not by chance, but by choice".

-Jim Rohn.

But try as you might, you can’t control everything. There’s always going to be something that will get in your way. You can choose what will make you happy, but that might not make others happy. Sometimes you have to rely on luck to get the outcome that you want. You can plan everything, but sometimes something will go wrong and you’ll have to react accordingly. Otherwise, every night everyone will be spending their time planning what they’re going to do the following day. It’ll be difficult to find someone who wants to share your goals. You’ll have to persuade people that your view is better. Sometimes the choices that you make don’t give you the outcome that you want it to, and others might not agree with your decisions. You have to be very dominant. It can be a selfish attitude, but sometimes there’s nothing that you can do about it.

"To succeed, you need to find something to hold onto, something to motivate you, something to inspire you."

 -Tony Dorsett.

You need a reason to win. A lot of the time, it’s down to the fact of what will happen if you don’t do something. But if the situation is unlikely to change if you don’t do anything, it makes it harder to make the change. You need a desire to improve things. You have to hold onto the drive to make the change otherwise it won’t happen. There might not be an instant reward available for completing the task but you’ve got to focus on the benefits when it’s done. If there’s no point in doing the task, then why do it? There’s other ways to occupy your time. You might need to give yourself a personal reward when the task is complete. It might be someone that inspires you, or at least is someone who keeps telling you to get the task done. Or it might be the option to go somewhere afterwards.
