This film has an interesting concept, but it’s a bit outdated in today’s society. It’s one of those films that you can have playing in the background and don’t really have to concentrate on, but you do have to do some thinking about what you see. It’s also strange how Harrison retains these memories. It’s not clear why the tape wouldn’t rewind or why the tape stopped after each song. Surely he must encounter a regular Laura in the intermission between each song. After the first death a crossing is installed but there could have been a bit more effort to include it in the film, at least with a memorial plaque in front of it. It’s also not clear what the blacked-out painting on the wall represents even after we know the cause of death, and it’s a shame that we’re not referred back to the image on Laura’s phone once it’s been discovered. But considering it’s a film based on music, I don’t recognise many of the songs.
