Rather than thick on the bottom and thin on the top, they’re
thin all round. I wonder if they’re able to take any weight or if they’ll bend
at the first sign of wind as they’re in an open area. I’d like to think that I
can put a few timbers around them to form a cube strong enough to support a
room or two with the trunks passing through the top, but the width of the
trunks don’t give me much confidence. At least there’s a bit of camouflage
around the base, but the building will be easy to spot, especially with the sunlight
cast over, unless a few more trees can be felled and placed horizontally, or
that higher branches will develop. Perhaps the copse will grow, hopefully
without too much damage once the nails are bolted in. It would be a great
viewing spot for wildlife, though the owners may not be too keen on the idea.
