We’re back in Hanbury for another walkabout, this time with
a similar partnership. We met in the grounds of the churchyard, which was a
little hilly but we got a splendid view of the surrounding area. Heading south,
we descended the footpath from the church which took us through a field and
followed a gap in the hedgerow to bring out down some steps onto the main road.
We crossed the road and took the footpath opposite which brushed the school
grounds. We then bore south-east which crossed three fields before arriving in
a series of farmer’s workshops which was known as the Jinny Ring. It was busy
with people buying fresh supplies but we were here for the beer as we wanted to
try a new craft bar. It was full of bottles to take away, but we were hoping
that they would have some of their own beers on offer.
